We did the "Run to the Far Side" this morning -- a 10K/5K run/walk event around Golden Gate Park. The announcer said that there were about 12,000 people participating. I did the 10K run, and Jane did the 5K walk (she'd already done a longer training yesterday). I finished in 49:55 -- almost the exact same time I got at the Pacific Sun 10K at the very beginning of our training. I was pretty happy with the time, though, since the course was fairly hilly. We hung out with a group of our friends before and after the race. Among them was Marco Baltero, who lives in Honolulu and who will graciously be putting us up in his apartment for part of our time there. Rosalia Dizon was also there today. She lives here in SF, but is flying out to Honolulu for the marathon to help cheer us (and others) on. Thanks Marco and Rosalia!!!
